Note 02 — The place

33.92° N78.02° WMouth of the Cape Fear

A small town with a long memory.

Southport sits at the mouth of the Cape Fear River, where the river meets the Atlantic. It is a town of live oaks, porches and streets that were laid out for walking.

Building here means respecting that: the scale, the trees, the water and the people already home.

Note 04 — The standard

What the coast asks of a builder.

  1. Build for the weather: wind, salt and water are design inputs, not afterthoughts.

  2. Keep the trees where we can.

  3. Fit the street before filling the lot.

  4. Be reachable after the sale or the lease.
